Acedia is one of the Rivals in Otocadoll. A sorerer's Apprentice who first appears in Prologue: Phase 1. Her theme color is ice blue and she uses a book for her weapon.
Bio[]
Appearance[]
Acedia is a young and small girl with fair complexion and caramel-red eyes. Her face is mostly hidden by her layered, straightened blue bangs and curved forelocks, leaving only her mouth and nose visible. When her hood is removed, it is revealed she has long hair worn in twin-tails held by pom-pom ties.
Personality[]
Acedia is introverted and shy, and she usually keeps to herself. She is apprenhensive and has a weak constitution, but if pushed enough she can become surprisingly scary when angered. She has a negative and unconcerned nature, but she appears to be in search of something.
On the Merry Christmas stage, she is shown to have gained more confidence in herself when fighting.
Stage Entrance[]
Shyly Acedia shifts her foot and turns to the opponent before speaking. She appears unsure of herself while snowflakes appear around her.

Her ears are seen behind a snowman as she peeks out. Then she appears to shyly reveal her book.

After being startled, Acedia gets angry and her rabbit ears stand up on end and she summons her book, causing it to grow several sizes bigger. Which she then grabs and slams down on the target.

Acedia holds a giant present and struggles to carry it as she walks, knocking over a bucket on top of a snowman in the process. She trips on the bucket and her present and book falls on the target.

In the comic's made by the series artists, Ai offers friendship to her. She gets annoyed by Ai's constant chatter when she's trying to read, but she genuinely takes to her.
Etymology[]
Her name comes from the Latin word "acedĭa" which means the lack of interest or care for someone else.
Acedia is also the Latin name for "Sloth" one of the Deadly Sins.

- At one point during developement she was shown wearing an ice-themed wizard or sorcerers outfit.
